Bauer Foot Valve Strainer

This foot valve strainer with Bauer type Lever Lock coupling, is designed to be placed at the end of a suction pipeline where it functions as a spring-assisted check valve. The benefit of this strainer is to retain water in the suction line, this making it easier for your pump to prime and re-prime thereafter.  Perfect for longer lengths of suction hose, or where rapid priming is required.

When a pump in the assembly is switched on, the pressure inside the pump line changes and the valve opens allowing water to flow freely up and through the water pump.  Similarly, when the pump ceases operation, the check valve will close and retain water in the line, thus preventing issues with back-flow.
