Offered exclusively by Henry Pumps, the Henry Pro 1.4SA IntelliDrain ® Automatic Puddle Pump with automatic IntelliDrain ® sensor is able to start automatically on demand and drain water down to as little as 1mm, which makes it suitable for pumping large or small areas of nuisance water found on flat surfaces.

With the addition of the IntelliDrain ® sensor, whilst resting on a flat surface, it remains weighted to the bottom, allowing the IntelliDrain ® sensor to detect the presence of water on the floor.  A magnetic key is supplied which allows the user to adjust the delay time of the start and stop sequence according to your own needs at site level.

The factory settings for the IntelliDrain ® sensor are that the pump turns on 5 seconds after the sensor detects water and turns off 30 seconds after the sensor no longer detects water.

Cable length of the IntelliDrain ® sensor is 30cm.

Requires a minimum of 5mm of water to operate and is required to be primed on initial use.

This Henry Pro 1.4SA IntelliDrain ® Automatic Puddle Pump features the world renowned Tsurumi LSC1.4S pump which incorporates a dual position outlet port (available in either 1 inch or 2 inch), to enable the user to position the outlet hose horizontally or vertically and avoid it kinking making this an extremely versatile choice for on site drainage.

For durability, during robust handling, the Tsurumi LSC 1.4S puddle sucker flood pump has a pressed steel outer casing and a cast aluminium pump stand, to offer increased protection of the steel and rubber base plate. A combination of a rubber pump chamber and a urethane vortex impeller enables the design to offer excellent wear resistance in site water applications that contain sand and silt in suspension, thus maintaining performance and reliability over time.

An additional feature of the Tsurumi LSC1.4S is an integral swing check valve to prevent back flow of water from the discharge hose. Quality is further enhanced with a 403 stainless steel shaft that is fitted with an ultra hard-wearing twin mechanical seal (inboard: silicon carbide-silicon carbide) which runs in a patented oil chamber that has an oil lifter to maintain seal lubrication during operation in any position.

This feature, combined with the water and air cooling route to the top outlet, allows the Tsurumi LSC1.4S puddle pump to operate for extended periods with little or no water.

Utilised extensively by hire companies, utilities and flood control companies.

Great for removing standing water

The IntelliDrain Puddle Pump was recommended to me by the Henry sales team for dealing with standing water across a number of car parks that we manage. This did exactly what it said on the tin and removed all of the water within minutes. Highly recommended!

Lift shaft pump

This pump was recommended to me by the Henry Pro team. Excellent choice. Can be left in our lift shaft unmanned and pumps the water away automatically when required to do so!

Steve | Buxton | November 2025

Does the job.

Does what it says on the tin. Good puddle pump that keeps the water levels really low. Will buy another this winter.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is this different from the standard Tsurumi LSC1.4S?

The standard LSC1.4S is a manual puddle pump. It is ideal for supervised low-level water removal.

The Henry Pro IntelliDrain version adds automatic sensor control, meaning the pump can start and stop based on the presence of water. This makes it better suited to lift shafts, plant rooms, basements, car parks and areas where water may return after the initial clean-up.

What does the IntelliDrain sensor do?
The IntelliDrain sensor sits on the floor and detects the presence of water. Once water is detected, it tells the pump to start automatically. When water is no longer detected, the pump continues for a set delay before stopping. The page states that factory settings are 5 seconds to start after detecting water and 30 seconds to stop after water is no longer detected.
Can the start and stop delay be adjusted?
Yes. The IntelliDrain system is supplied with a magnetic key, which allows the user to adjust the start and stop delay settings to suit the site. This can be useful where water comes and goes, or where you want the pump to run slightly longer after the sensor no longer detects water.
Can this be left running unattended?

It is designed for automatic operation, so it can be used where water may return and manual monitoring is not practical.

However, for critical applications, high-value premises or areas where flooding would cause serious damage, it is sensible to consider the wider system design, power supply, discharge route, backup protection and whether alarms or additional safeguards are required.

What type of water can it pump?

It is suitable for shallow nuisance water, rainwater, groundwater and dirty water containing light sand or silt. The Tsurumi LSC1.4S is listed with a 6mm free passage and is designed for site water applications containing sand and silt in suspension.

It should not be used for sewage, foul water, large solids, heavy sludge, chemicals, saltwater, fuel or oil.

What is the difference between a puddle pump and a sump pump?

A puddle pump is designed to remove shallow water from flat surfaces.

A sump pump is normally installed inside a sump chamber or pump well, where water collects to a depth that allows a float switch or sensor to operate.

The IntelliDrain sits between these two use cases: it is still a puddle pump, but with automatic water detection, making it useful where shallow water appears on a flat surface and may return.

Should I choose 110v or 230v?

Choose 110V for construction sites or areas using site transformers.

Choose 230V where a standard mains supply is available, such as domestic, commercial, facilities management or property maintenance applications.
