KS Portable Surface Jet Pump

The KS801 from Speroni is a portable, single stage, self-priming jet pump with a thermoplastic body, venturi and impeller.

The stainless steel shaft is fitted with a carbon ceramic and NBR mechanical seal. The IP44 motor has water resistant rocker switch and has overload protection. It is designed for pumping clean water only, at a maximum temperature of 35ºC.

It should not be allowed to run dry, but by fitting an optional pressure controller it can be protected from this and also enabled to start and stop automatically.

Maximum recommended suction lift, when primed, is 8 metres.

For best results we recommend that a foot-valve and strainer should be fitted to the end of the suction hose. This is included with our 4 metre and 7 metre suction kits. These are available as an optional extra and include a pump coupling which is factory fitted to the hose for a vital, airtight connection. Fitted as standard with a carrying handle and a 2 metre rubber power lead. This pump is ideal for transfer and irrigation duties in domestic and light industrial applications.

The KS1100/PA, again manufactured by Speroni is a portable, single stage, self-priming jet pump specifically designed for pumping sea-water.

The threaded inlet, outlet and shaft are in 316 stainless steel with a silicon carbide and viton mechanical seal, a pump body in polypropylene, with the impeller and diffuser in noryl.

Maximum suction lift is 8 metres and it can pump liquids with a maximum temperature of 35ºC. The motor is IP44 has overload protection and is fitted with rocker switch a 2 metre power lead. 

General purpose PVC hoses and pipe fittings perform well in sea-water, but suitable metal valves and accessories should be selected with care for their compatibility.  

316 stainless steel is used widely in marine applications, but its corrosion resistance in contact with seawater is limited, so it cannot be considered corrosion proof. The corrosion risks increase with the effects of chloride concentrations, evaporation, temperature, aeration etc, (working individually or together); hence, the guarantee period for these models relates to the mechanical operation and may not cover all seawater conditions.
