Tsurumi LB480 Automatic Sensor Probe Drainage Pump

The sensor has two 304 stainless steel probes that are encapsulated in moulded rubber and it is designed for portable applications. The compact design and precise water level control also makes it suitable for fixed installations and narrow or shallow sumps.

During use, when both probes touch the water, the pump will start and continue to operate for one minute after the water level drops. However, if the water touches both probes again within this time, the pump continues pumping for another minute and will continue like this on demand, so keeping the water level constantly below the level of the probes at all times. The off level can be as low as the suction cover at 20mm, depending on the sump size or area being drained. Probes can be lengthened by 70mm or 170mm, with optional extensions, to enable a lower “on” and “off” level.

The LB series submersible water pumps are extremely robust, compact contractor pumps, that have a 2 inch (50mm) outlet and a tough pressed steel strainer base and body. A choice of 0.48kW, 0.75kW and 1.5kW motors assist cost effective pump selection. They all offer excellent durability during periods of continuous use and/or operator abuse.

The Tsurumi LB-480 models incorporate a dual position outlet port, which allows the user to position the outlet hose horizontally or vertically to suit their changing requirements on site and prevent the hose from kinking.

A combination of a rubber pump chamber, rubber wear plate and a urethane vortex impeller provides excellent wear resistance in site water applications that contain sand and silt in suspension, thus maintaining performance and reliability in the long term.

The Tsurumi LB-480 submersible pumps utilise a 403 stainless steel shaft that is fitted with an ultra hard-wearing twin mechanical seal (inboard: silicon carbide-silicon carbide) which runs in an oil chamber that has a patented oil lifter to maintain seal lubrication during operation in any position. This feature, combined with the water and air cooling route to the top outlet, allows the pump to operate for extended periods with little or no water.
