Tsurumi SFQ Chemical & Salt Water 316 Stainless Steel Pump

Manufactured by Tsurumi Pumps, the SFQ series features all wetted parts in 316 grade (1.4436) cast stainless steel for industrial pumping of aggressive liquids. 316 is commonly known as marine grade hence these pumps are suitable for sea water and salt water, however because of their cast construction they are extremely resilient during prolonged use in these liquids and many chemical solutions.

For added resistance, elastomers are in Viton rubber and the double mechanical seal (inboard and outboard: silicon carbide-silicon carbide) operates in a chamber of turbine oil.

The heavy duty Tsurumi 80SFQ chemical and salt water pumps are fitted with 3 phase 400v motors (1.5kW class E insulation, 3.7kW class F) are fitted with internal overloads, enabling simple installation and direct connection to the power supply. An open type impeller is capable of pumping up to 6mm solids diameter at 1.5kW and 15mm at 3.7kW. Supplied with 10 metres of heavy duty, neoprene rubber power cable.

Extended Warranty available exclusively from Henry Pumps: Standard 3 year warranty, extendable to 5 years with servicing by an approved Henry Pumps engineer, ensuring longevity and peace of mind.

The selection of a pump must initially meet the basic corrosion resistant standards, however additional mechanical or physical properties in the duty may also need to be considered to achieve the overall service performance required. Please contact our sales department for guidance.

316 stainless steel is used widely in marine applications, but its corrosion resistance in contact with seawater is limited, so it cannot be considered ‘corrosion proof’. The corrosion risks increase with the effects of chloride concentrations, evaporation, temperature, aeration etc, (working individually or together); hence, the guarantee period for these models relates to the mechanical operation and may not cover all seawater conditions.
